Yup...it's not a huge game though, but yeah.

Just started my DVR to watch it. Thirty seconds!!
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:05 |
|
Yup, that was an amazing start for the US team...
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:06 |

That was quite pleasant. They ripped CR7 a new one!

US scored fastest goal in this cup so far. (2nd minute by Jermaine Jones)
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:12 |
|
YES.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:12 |
|
Stupid ESPN streaming didn't get going for me until after the US scored. All I got to enjoy before that was a spinning red ring.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:12 |

USA!
There was a lot of honking and general hooliganism after the Germany-Portugal game in Hessen.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:12 |
|
First minute, I think. Wasn't it just 30 seconds into the match?
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:13 |
|
Dempsey scored, assisted by Jones, I believe.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:14 |

At work. Keep me updated, yo.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:17 |

US scored fastest goal in this cup so far. 30 seconds-1 minute in Dempsey/Jones working together. (It was so quick I didn't see it properly.)
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:18 |
|
That they did.

I'll give that one sided victory more to the fact that they where a player down, then had to forcefully switch two players. I was rooting for Germany and hope they come out 1st in the group, but I the red card was exaggerated by the ref in my opinion.

Yessir!

I don't pay attention to soccer/football (maybe foothockey?), is Portugal anything to right home about?
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:24 |
|
Any time Portugal gets beaten severely is a good day.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:27 |
|
I take it the Portuguese aren't popular.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:28 |

Anything else?
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:33 |

The ref showed quite clearly that he was using a zero-tolerance policy quite early. So if you still decide to to play a "British" game, that's what you get for making a man go down in the penalty box.
Pepe was just stupid. The foul wasn't that hard, but deciding to face Müller again after the situation was a no-go. Every touch, no matter how little, was sure to get him sent off. FIFA is quite clear on that stuff.
And overall, it's not like the Portuguese players displayed the best sportsmanship.
And CR7? Did he even play? I didn't really see him.

Ghana can into!
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:35 |
|
Well, they got some talented players like Cristiano Ronaldo (Footballer of The Year), but clearly Germany was way above them.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:37 |

Well, i'm rooting for USA as well, so they will still got a chance to make out from the group despite being smoked by the Mercedes ;)
GO GERMANY!

Altidore out injured, Johansson substitute. Didn't look like foul play, more like he tripped and hurt.... whatever footballists hurt these days.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:46 |
|
It was #4 on the current world table versus #2. So you could call that a game between some of the better teams.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:52 |
|
All right. Thanks now it makes sense.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:55 |

Are you Ghanan? Could be fun!
![]() 06/16/2014 at 18:57 |
|
End of first half, Ghana is getting closer to a goal, the US team has to make some changes for the 2nd half to keep up

I lived in Ghana for about a year. I am a Canadian, since our own side never qualifies...I cheer for Ghana.

![]() 06/16/2014 at 20:24 |

Just because of Klinsmann? Don't see it that way.
![]() 06/16/2014 at 20:28 |

Klinsmann and the several American players who grew up in Germany.

Apparently this is one of a few "groups of death," which I assume means that all teams are formidable.
